🐮 Ford Mondeo Mk4 Dashboard Not Working
Hi, I have Mondeo mk4 2011 and the windshield wipers does not work properly. When turned on, they will run for 9 strokes before stopping somewhere om the windshield. This happens 3 times before they stop working alltogether. Then I must either stop the car and turn the ignition of and restart the engine, then they will work in the same fashion

The problem was dealt with at the first service in March this year and was due to a faulty connection in the tailgate and some special lubricant that it is coated in. This worked fine until about 2 weeks ago when it
If the fan does not work the air con won't. A cheap check/investigation is to check out a very popular fault on the Mondeo which is corrosion/break of the "purple" wire that runs from fan along chassis leg to EMC unit. There is loads of info about this wire failure on the internet - Type this into google- talkford mk4 mondeo purple wire
My car 2008 Mondeo Mk4 factory fitted with MP3 stereo and no phone capability ( no stalk buttons, no module, no mic.) I have fitted DAB Sony Radio and aerial all working ok. I have fitted a BT module, indicator stalk with buttons, 8 pin cable loop (1-3, 2-4, 5-7, 6-8) and a microphone. I can hear people on BT calls but they cannot hear me.
Can’t bring up the radio when radio button is pushed although it finds my iPod and starts playing that but no sound. Did a speaker test which failed. Also I get no sound from the parking sensors even though the button is lit up and seems to work just no sound. I’ve checked fuses which all seem to be fine.
Few modern cars offer the practicality or space of a Mk4 Mondeo – they’re enormous – and 2.5s tend to be particularly well-equipped. They’re astonishingly smooth mile-munchers. The five-pot motor is shared with the Focus ST225 and Mk2 RS, so it’s extraordinarily tuneable and would make an epic sleeper.
I have same issue with Modeo MK4 2008 Dashboard. Earlier: LCD sometimes OFF, sometimes work well, sometimes mixed the pixels. Now: LCD 50% - OFF. Action: Resoldered of the main connector and the one of the LCD connector which side is not working well. But I do not know how looks like the real connection with the electrical panel.
I have a mk4 1.8TD Mondeo The air con is not working. So far I've eliminated the compressor as the issue, as the clutch will engaged and the compressor will run when I remove the relay and bridge the contacts, the cab get very cold, very quick. I had the vehicle re-gassed today, so that is not an issue either, there are no leaks in the system.

Ford Mondeo 1.8 Ghia: Good morning, bought a 1997 Ford Mondeo Good morning, bought a 1997 Ford Mondeo (1.8 Ghia) last month. Worked OK at first then encountered power drops during driving and non starting.
Ignore the light in the clock, Thats for the immobiliser not the remote fob to. unlock the doors. If the car doesnt start and thats flashing rapidly then it has not read the chip in the key. correctly, or the chip is wrong/faulty. No beep when pressing the remote, either the battery is duff or poor contacts on the battery.
Generally, hard wiring something usually requires access to a switched live, a permanent live and a ground. Most commonly, these can be found near the stereo however the Mondeo doesn't have a switched live stereo. Using a multimeter I was able to work out which fuses are permanent live, which go off after 15 minutes and which circuits go off
This did not solve the issue. They also replaced the battery as it went flat at one point (possibly unrelated). They eventually sent it to Ford, who have apparently replaced the whole dashboard! We then picked it up yesterday and I now see Phone, Radio, iPod features etc. on the dashboard! I also now have voice control which never worked before.
Part 1 described the operation of the keyless start system. The keyless entry option builds on this by adding a few components. The same KVM is used for both systems. For the keyless entry option there is a low frequency antenna built into the drivers and passenger's front door handles. Also there is one behind the rear bumper.
